Author Spotlights and Interviews

Michael Patrick Hicks – Author Interview

Michael Patrick Hicks’s debut novel Convergence was an Amazon Breakthrough Award 2013 Quarter-Finalist, and after reading it, it’s clear why. Not only is it action-filled, turn-the-page-and-find-out-what-happens-NOW reading, it’s also my favourite type of story in that it asks some very difficult ethical and philosophical questions about how future technology might affect the nature of humanity.

You know it’s a good book when you want to grab the author by the lapels and shout, ‘Come with me! I need to know more about your world.’
Luckily for me (and you), Mike’s agreed to come along and answer some of my questions… [Read more]

Loren Weaver – Author Interview

I’m pleased and excited to introduce Loren Weaver, the subject of this week’s interview.  Like last week’s interviewee, Heather R. Blair, I met Loren online when she offered to review The Secret Dead.

Loren’s enthusiasm for writing, reading, and paranormal fiction is positively infectious, and this has come across not only in every interaction I’ve had with her, but also in Loren’s own Victoria Novak: Paranormal Division series….[read more]

Heather R. Blair – Author Interview

Today’s Author Interview is with Heather R. Blair. I first came across Heather when I put out an open read-to review request on Goodreads for The Secret Dead.  Heather offered to review it, and had some lovely things to say (which was very soothing for a nervous newbie author).

As with every author…Read more…

Lucas Bale – Author Spotlight

I first came across Lucas Bale on Twitter before he’d published his debut novel, The Heretic.  We chatted about self-publishing, he bought my book and said nice things about it, and I ended up beta-reading for The Heretic.

I mention this to brag and ensure it is recorded for all posterity that I knew Lucas Bale before he was a big deal. Because I think he will be. Remember you saw it here first.

The Heretic is the first book in his Beyond the Wall series…Read more..

John Darr – Author Interview

I’m excited to announce that the lovely John Darr who has beta-read both my books (and whose feedback made them so much better) has recently released a new novel.

The Protector’s Ring is a YA novel featuring half-Reaper Jonah Blackstone, and is the beginning of what promises to be an exciting new series.  Read more..

  1. I would much appreciate an author spotlight,
Here is a bit of information about my book…
Flight of destiny Is a collection of short stories about misfortune. They are characterized by unexpected final twists, that come at the end of each tale. They are dark and surreal tales, set around the world, at different time periods. They show a world in which anything can happen. It is hard to determine reality and what is going on a disturbed mind. People’s conceptions about morality are turned upside down. A good person can be transformed by an unexpected event into a bad person and then back again to their former state. The high and mighty often deliver flawed arguments, those considered wicked make good representations of themselves. Revenge is often a subject explored.
